How I Became My True Self by Being Drug-Free

If somehow I were to meet my old self, I wouldn’t recognize him. That’s how much I’ve changed and how good I feel now.

Some eight months ago, I went to Narconon Balkan and these were the most productive months I’ve experienced in the twenty years I have lived on this planet.

Drugs badly damaged a big part of my life, but in a way they only helped fuel my already-existing harmful behavior patterns.

The confusion that I felt inside me and around me led me further and further on a downhill path and it seemed like I’d lost control over everything.

My family—especially my father—supported me in my darkest times and in the end convinced me to come here to Narconon.

Withdrawal and detox were not easy for me, but with the help of very caring staff, the technology I received from them and with my strong will, I managed to embark on the next steps of the program feeling like a real champion, with big changes in my body and mind. My confidence grew more and more, as did my purpose to change and become who I am now.

When I started the drills, I was amazed at their efficiency and I experienced big wins and gains. I started to become more aware, happy and cheerful and—very importantly—I was losing interest in ever using any kind of drugs again.

As I progressed through the drills, my attention came out of the past and into the present and I was ready to enter the part where I could dig more deeply to cut out the bad roots and connections in my life. When I did this, I found the good parts of my personality that had been otherwise buried and I was then able to plant the seeds of productivity and good behavior for the future.

The life skills courses were my favorite part of the program as they helped create a change in my perception and viewpoint for both myself and all the areas I’m connected with.

“Now I love myself and I’ve discovered my potential, I’m in a positive state of mind and body and I intend to work towards becoming an even better and wiser person.”

“Now I love myself and I’ve discovered my potential, I’m in a positive state of mind and body and I intend to work towards becoming an even better and wiser person.”

It’s hard to explain and not easy to put into words, but I can say that the Narconon Program is truly a school of spirit, mind and body.
