Once the drug cravings have been kicked and the physical side of addiction addressed, it’s time to address the reasons a person turned to drugs in the first place.

It’s done through practical coursework to instill the life skills an individual needs to succeed. These are skills that people struggling with substance abuse have often lost sight of—or never had.

Effective practice and learning lead to stability and a return of personal values. Just as important, these courses help a person develop the self-control and personal backbone necessary to maintain a drug-free life.

Being up one day and down the next can swiftly turn into a downward spiral that leads to rock bottom. On this course, learn the factors that cause someone to “roller coaster,” emotionally and physically. Establish patterns to improve well-being and learn to spot these factors so you can avoid them or discard them from your life.

This is a success story from a student who finished with the course Ups and Downs in Life.

This book completely explained to me a question I’ve been asking myself but never got an answer for until I began this course. I wondered why my life was good one day and bad the next for no reason. I thought I had no control over the ups and downs in my life, but now I completely understand the cause of it and I know what to do about it, and also how to prevent this. I realise the importance of surrounding myself around people with social personalities so that I can do well in life and cut off people that are antisocial because they will only bring me down. Also before I decide whether to keep them near me or cut them off, I must analyse their characteristics first. Being surrounded by people with social characteristics will help me to do well, so therefore it’s important to help them.
