From Nearly Dead to Fully Alive

Man sitting on the bench

After the two weeks that I spent in withdrawal, I was ready to start with the New Life Detox. Hearing from others about how they experienced detox made me feel better, but I wasn’t still quite sure how would I react. But I’ve got to be honest, the first few days after I started, I began to notice a lot of changes in my body and also my mind. Along with this journey, I also had some bad moments from the reactions I have was going through, but overall the gains I have had are huge.

My senses started to come back, like they were before I started using drugs, my energy increased to a new level, my mood is way different, I enjoy the little things more, and I am more aware of my surroundings, more focused and full of positive energy.

By clearing my body, I have also cleared my mind by reflecting on a lot of things, and that I can do better without drugs. For the wins and gains, I am forever grateful for the hard work of the staff members that shared everything they can to help me; for the other students that didn’t hold back anything; but mostly, I’m happy with myself that I had the courage to continue this program, with only one thing in my mind, getting my body and mind clear and to be a better person.

I have a rush of awesome feelings that I can’t even remotely describe.

Thank you.
