Understanding

During my addiction, I started slowly underestimating everything, even my own self. I started loading values as a person and bringing everyone around me down with me. In the last 3 years of my addiction, I started becoming arrogant and aggressive and, of course, unable to face responsibility as an adult.
Now, I have come to the understanding that all that behavior was a self-defense mechanism of my subconscious trying to avoid all those responsibilities because I was unable to face them. I believe that the first and most important step in regaining myself—which I miss so much—is finishing this program.
I would especially like to thank the entire staff at Narconon Balkan for showing me that life can be lived in a better way.
