A Step Forward

Walking man

I just finished the Objectives course, and I can say the condition I am in is something I have never experienced in this way. Even before I started to do drugs, I hadn’t been like this. With this process, not only did I get my old self back, but I surpassed that and became an even better version of myself. I used to say that it would be amazing to start myself over again, but with everything I learned these past years so I would use the knowledge properly. And just now, I realized that this is my chance to do that. To write all that I accomplished would need a whole book and a lot of time, but I would like to mention the accomplishments that were the most important.

The first would be the fact that I am more aware of my thoughts and my actions and which are good and which are not.

The second true and vital change for me is that I can act on my realizations. Here, I realized much more about myself, not only related to drugs but much deeper than that. I clearly saw the mistakes I made toward my family and how to fix them, or how to better that relationship without the need to be stuck on what happened, but to see how to make things good from now on. I realized how much my past mistakes can have an effect on me and my surroundings. But most importantly, I realized change started with me first.

And the most important accomplishment of all is the ability to be in the present time and realize this is the foundation for everything to gain and to keep all my new abilities. To be in the present time and realize that this is the foundation for everything, you have to be in this state, and to deal with everything within you or around you—not trying to deal with the past or the future, but only dealing with what you have now and enjoying the moment.
