When I look back at the groups I used to be involved in, I realized how things really were. I used to see unethical activities and I would get influenced by them and join in. I would find myself involved when it wasn’t necessary. I did this because I wanted to see others doing better than they were.
I Am Strong Enough to See Things as They Truly Are
During the Personal Values course, I wrote down my harmful actions, which is not that easy as it sounds. I had to go back and look at my life and describe the actions I did. And, while doing this, I could see clearly what actions pulled me down and what actions lifted me up.
This Was One of the Most Beautiful Experiences I’ve Gone Through
Working on the Objectives drills was one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve gone through. These simple drills trained me how to face reality and difficulties without being attached to the circumstances. And by doing so, I faced the real me.
The Best Experience One Can Have—Starting a Drug-Free Life
Starting a drug-free life is one of the best experiences one can have. I call it a gift from myself to myself, since I started to get to know myself and everything around me like never before. While I was addicted to drugs I couldn’t perceive reality the way it was.
